Our CookieQ consent service and platform lets web publishers offer visitors to their websites the ability to opt-in to cookies and other storage. Web publishers can choose the level of consent they want to offer to their visitors using a rich set of configurable options. They can easily create their own links and buttons, using their own website style, and control the functionality offered by declaritive HTML amendments to their pages and our advanced JavaScript API.
The websites where visitors have consented to cookies are recorded in a database, but this does not retain any personally identifiable information about visitors. The key to this database is encoded in a cookie which visitors can delete at any time using a link on our or our customer's privacy pages. We only use this information to register consent for storage, and this information is never communicated to other parties, unless required by law. It is kept only for the period required to record consent for cookies, and is deleted immediately when consent for all cookies has lapsed or has been withdrawn.
The database is hosted in the Azure cloud infrastructure where it replicated at 3 times in 2 different geographic locations.
We are committed to helping web publisher protect their visitor's privacy and will not share data about visitors without their explicit informed consent.
The platform is not just a simple piece of JavaScript inserting a "header" or jQuery accordian. CookieQ manages 1st party cookies by removing those not identified by the publisher as "strictly necessary", and inhibits their creation later by 3rd party script. It also can selectively remove or intercepts 3rd party content so that 3rd party cookies are not placed, and registers a visitor's agreement to them across multiple domains. Web publishers can use our opt-in panels, or create their own using any web platform, and CookieQ will inject them into any page when triggered by client-side actions. CookieQ remembers visitor's choice, across multiple web domains where required, and manages the whole consent process so there is no need for popups and banners intruding on the web experience.
The CookieQ platform is supported by our Cookie Audit service. We have developed a software scanner that automatically finds the pages in a website and records all the cookies and other tracker elements there. We detect cookies placed by the web server as well as those placed by JavaScript linked to or contained in the pages. The generated report separately lists 1st party cookies, 3rd party cookies placed by first-level linked content and web beacons. It also lists HTML5 local storage, "flash" cookies, and 404 and other errors.
