The CookieQ button is an easy to implement and low cost way to get your websites to comply with the new e-Privacy law.

It is free for smaller websites who do not need to change the reminder banner text, just login to get valid script whcih you can paste into your website. For pricing for larger sites or if you want some of the advanced features, contact us.

You can choose a visible type that always shows your visitors whether they have agreed to cookies and which you can position yourself, or you can select a hidden script-only type which the image is not displayed. You can also specify an opt-in panel, like the "vertical slider", that can shrink to a button image after a timeout period. If you subscribe to the paid service the HTML static page that displays one of our "External" opt-in panels like the "vertical slider" can be downloaded from our site, edited as you wish and then hosted on your own site.

Required information


Usually your company name.


The domain name of the website where this button will live - e.g. YourSite.com.


Your own name for your cookie categories. Each button on a page should have a different name and you can share cookie consent between different domains by using the same category name.


The page telling your visitors what your cookies are used for.


This image displays the current cookie consent status, and can be set to "hidden" if you do not need it. If it is not hidden then clicking it will cause the opt-in panel to display..

The overlay option overlays the banner over the top of the page, otherwise the page is pushed down.


You can set the back ground colour of the reminder banner - e.g. #000000 is black


You can set the text colour of the reminder banner - e.g. #FFFFFF is white


You can supply your own CSS file for the reminder banner here.


Select "custom" if you want to edit the Reminder Banner message below.


The characters @q will be replaced with the Q button, @g the trackergate button and @o the opt-in button. @lLINK TEXT@ will be replaced with an anchor tag with LINK TEXT within it. Similarly @rLINK TEXT@ will create a link which visitors can click to remove the banner. You can also embed links (anchor tags) as described in our Advanced Techniques page

Enter a list of the names of your "strictly necessary" cookies separated by ';'. These will not be deleted even if a visitor has not opted in.


Optionally, you can enter a list of the names of your cookies that uniquely identify visitors (separated by ';') here.
