the CookieQ ePrivacy directive compliance solution for 1st and 3rd
party cookies.
Baycloud
Systems has developed the first complete ePrivacy compliance application, CookieQ.com, which works
with any web server platform. It has been designed to enable web site
operators to fully comply with the new EU electronic privacy law as it
applies to cookies while keeping the visitor experience as seamless as
possible. It has been working on customer sites since May 2010 and now also
supports 3rd party cookie intercept.
CookieQ is an
off-the-shelf solution suitable for use on any type of website from small
business sites to very large e-commerce sites. While very easy to install and
deploy, the product offers a fully scalable and technically advanced range of
features.
CookieQ is
hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, manages the complete
opt-in process and maintains an independent record of visitor’s cookie
consent choices. This enables us to offer proof-of-consent as required by
some European Data Protection Authorities and gives visitors the ability to
change their consent choice at any website at any time.
Because we
remember their choice between visits there is no need for intrusive pop-ups,
making the visitor experience seamless.
CookieQ is
available at a low-cost annual subscription based on the level of web site
traffic.
Features:

Removes 1st
party cookies by default if visitors have not opted in, displays a panel
where they can opt-in and remembers their choice on subsequent visits so that
they do not need to be asked again.

Optionally displays a
reminder banner when visitors have not opted-in, but gives them the
opportunity to remove it.

Provides independent
proof of consent if needed.
·
Allows analytics services
such as Google Analytics to collect anonymous statistical information about
visitors even if cookies are removed. 100% of visitors can be counted with
optional additional “unique visitors” indication.

Provides a single page
for each visitor where their own cookie consent choices can be reviewed and
changed.
·
Intercepts 3rd
party content to ensure consent for 3rd party cookies. Videos and social
networking share buttons etc. can be deployed without needing contractual
safeguards that they comply from other content providers.

Supports browsers with Tracker
Protection Lists to let visitors control third party cookies from sites that
have not been intercepted by CookieQ.

Supports a downloadable
universal plugin, TrackerGate, which ensures 3rd party cookie control for PC
browsers that do not support Tracker Protection Lists.

Parents can set up the
age of their children so it can, with the parent’s consent, be encoded in a
cookie and communicated to sites that display our button. This will allow
sites to restrict access to content deemed unsuitable for children and
simultaneously ensures that they will not be tracked.

CookieQ is suitable for
all sizes of website, fully customizable with an own-branding capability
where required and was designed for and hosted in Microsoft’s Azure cloud
infrastructure.
· CookieQ also
offers a unique cookie scanner that can
“spider scan” any web site and generate a detailed report of all cookies, 1st
party or 3rd party, http or script generated, that are placed by
the site.
